Experience and volume — not automatic competence.
A logbook is a structured record of repeated professional activities over time: procedures, clinics, on-call work, cases, teaching. It shows experience, volume, breadth and exposure.
High volume does not automatically demonstrate high competence. Pair logs with observed assessments where independence is the claim.
