A supervisor supports development, reviews progress, helps set objectives, discusses challenges and may complete reports. An assessment is a structured judgement about a specific activity or area.
A supervisor may complete assessments. The relationship and the assessment are still different things.
A Clinical Supervisor oversees clinical work in a placement or professional period. An Educational Supervisor provides broader oversight of development over a longer period.
Sometimes one person does both. In Elaryvo they are recorded once, with both roles. No second account.
A supervision meeting is a structured discussion about progress, objectives, evidence and next steps. A supervisor report is a broader judgement across a period of work. A meeting can review assessments. A meeting is not automatically an assessment.
Longitudinal supervision evidence shows who supported you, what was agreed, and how you progressed — not only that a meeting occurred.
