Reflection and development logs

Learning matters. On its own it is rarely independent proof.

Reflection

Reflection is your structured consideration of what happened, what you learned and what you may do differently next time.

Use a reflection for a clinical experience, a complaint, responding to a complaint, a compliment, a significant event, or after feedback. If none of those fit, choose Other.

Do not write identifiers. If you would not want anyone to read it, do not record it. A self-written reflection is learning, not independent proof of competence.

For a short method after any piece of work, see How to reflect. For the full Elaryvo Reflection Cycle, when no change is required, and reflection that is not confession, see Reflective practice in medicine.

Development Log

A Development Log records the activity, your contribution, what you learned, what changed, and supporting evidence. A reflection may live inside it. The log is the activity record; the reflection is the learning.

Connect learning to the real activity instead of storing isolated essays.
